The Wind Graphs

Each spot guide features a Wind Chart, made by us, to demonstrate which months are typically windy at the location. As all wind lovers know, this can vary year by year.
We try to distinguish the months with the highest chance for windy days as "Peak Season" months. "Shoulder Season" can have many windy days, but the wind is less reliable. "Off Season" months are typically very low wind.

By identifying locations in these categories, we categorize spots in different countries around the world to organize when it is windy where. That's one of our favorite Harnessing Life features! We want to make it really simple to find out where it is windy each month of the year. Have a week off of work in September? Trying to find out the best place to kiteboard during spring break? Search Harnessing Life to discover where to kitesurf every month of the year!
"Peak SEason At A Glance"

For locations we have yet to visit, we've compiled a base legend according to historical data and information from fellow kitesurfers that we refer to as our "Peak Season At A Glance". We use the same symbols as the Spot Guides to make our website easy to navigate. The statistics you see in our "At A Glance" charts such as water temperature and average wind speed are relevant to the months of the year we have determined as "peak season" in the wind chart.

AN EXAMPLE OF ONE OF OUR "AT A GLANCE" CHARTS
In Our "At A Glance" guides as well as Spot Guides we provide information on the closest International Airports, and at times, the closest domestic airport. This can be tricky in some locations which are difficult to navigate or may not have great airport access. We always try our best to provide the most accurate information, though in some locations transportation is best can discovered in detail through visiting, taking the long bus rides, visiting train stations, and writing down the notes. We hope you find the "Travel To" section of our spot guides valuable, and as always, if you have any suggestions for our "At A Glance" guides, we greatly appreciate local information!
